;) Timothy Magee and Cristina De Nigris Magee are the young owners of the new restaurant Le Nuvole Risto Bistro, recently opened in Suvereto, a medieval village in the Livorno province.The two, a couple in business and in life, propose a fish option, in an intimate and romantic ambiance, where ancient lives in harmony with modern. This choice comes from the desire to propose something different in a town mostly known for meat and wild boar, offering quality and simple ingredients that compliment the food rather than masking its flavor. This is what the name Le Nuvole (The Clouds) refers to: the lightness you’ll find in Timothy’s plates. The ingredients come from the neighborhood and they change according to seasons and availability. The fish is very fresh and comes from the sea between Castiglione della Pescaia and Elba Island. The restaurant is positioned in the characteristic stone wall center, just inside the main city door. It’s divided in two different levels: ground floor, very modern and minimal from which one can look at the kitchen through a big window; and the the dining room downstairs, characterized by stone walls, more traditional and in tune with the Suvereto atmosphere, certainly perfect for romantic dinners. In summertime outdoor seating is available on a pleasant deck, right in the middle of the square. The restaurant is open as a Bistro for lunch, from Tuesday to Saturday, from 12.30 p.m. to 2.30 p.m., with a faster menu, good prices and dishes for every taste. For dinner from 7.45 p.m. to 10.00 p.m., with a more elaborate and interesting Risto menu of just fresh fish. On Sunday at lunch the restaurant is open upon reservation, offering the Risto menu. The closing day is Monday. |
